CSA has long-standing working relationships with transportation engineers around the state of Oregon.
CSA and transportation engineering firms collaborate on development and public projects to integrate land use planning, transportation planning components, transportation engineering design elements and facility financing scenarios to create projects that satisfy Oregon transportation planning requirements and result in projects and plans that work.
Oregon places substantial emphasis on the need to balance transportation impacts with land development priorities in the State’s Transportation Planning Rule. In urban areas where the intensive development is planned in local comprehensive plans, this creates an inherent tension. CSA works through the planning process to identify creative ways to satisfy transportation regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality urban development in a responsible manner.
CSA has conducted system performance analysis on Lane Transit District operations on behalf of community leaders in the Eugene-Springfield area. Firm Principal, Jay Harland, is a member of the City of Medford Transportation Commission. Mr. Harland is also involved in the planning process for the South Stage Road extension project in Medford where preliminary planning is underway for a new overcrossing or interchange in that area.
